:  Bachelorís Degree in a relevant field required.  Prefer APICS Certification or willingness to obtain.   Minimum 3 years buying/planning experience utilizing advanced MRP/ERP tools.  Demonstrated negotiation experience resulting in delivered cost savings.  Experienced in domestic and international procurement.  Experience with lean principles, VSM.  Experienced working within CGMP and ISO environments.  Demonstrated experience planning purchases within complex and dynamic environments.  Posse excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Has the ability to make independent decisions within scope of responsibility, benefiting the company.  Ability to work independently.  Demonstrated contributions working cross-functionally and/or within a team environment.  Must be able to work effectively within a large, fast paced matrix organization.



Experienced with MRP systems.  Project lead experience including successful execution.  Experienced with importing goods, harmonized tariff schedule and all current import requirements.  Above average skills using Excel, Access, Outlook, Word and Project.  Prefer experience with Oracle ERP systems. Prefer demonstrated Lean experience and thorough knowledge of lean methodologies

  1. Negotiates purchase of goods and materials and signs purchase orders within approved limitations following standard procedures.

  2. Secures sources of supply.

  3. Contacts vendors/Buying Agent to expedite delivery of purchases, correct invoice errors, negotiates scrap credits and obtain satisfactory arrangements.

  4. Reviews planning policies and makes recommendations for reorder quantities, safety stocks and methods of shipment to assure an adequate supply of material at lowest total cost to the company.

  5. Composes effective correspondence to expedite/de-expedite purchased materials, revise purchase orders, affect cancellations and improve terms. Demonstrates effective internal cross-functional communication skills while executing strategies in support of Marketing, Sales and Operations.

  6. Works closely with Master Scheduler, Production Planner and Trade Marketing to ensure forecasts meet business plan.

  7. Promotes and maintains effective business relationships with vendors.

  8. Collaborates with Marketing and Sales to support the new product development process.
