The successful FP&A Manager acts as a liaison with all operating divisions to ensure activities are consistent with approved Senior Management Corporate objectives for revenue generation, profitability and efficiency. The selected new hire will under limited supervision, support the business based on solid business acumen, analysis and succinct communication capabilities.

 

Major Duties / Responsibilities

Manage the Financial Planning and Analysis team to deliver company, department, and individual performance desired results.

Prepare and coordinate annual budget and forecasts with various stakeholders for each P&L line with focus on continuous improvement.

Define, develop and refine reporting and analysis for supporting business (Management, Sales, Customer Service, Marketing and Operations).

Assist Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Pricing/Estimating and Operations with analyzing opportunities for business expansion and new business opportunities

Work with factories to provide cost to appropriate departments and pricing tools to the sales force.

Additional Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Engineering - MBA, CPA highly desirable. 
  • Must have 7-10 years’ experience in different finance positions (FP&A, Cost Accounting, etc.…)
  • Prior experience in a private equity portfolio company
  • Must be highly organized in order to initiate and produce numerous projects at one time while paying attention to the quality and accuracy of work.
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently in a fast pace shared environment.
  • Demonstrates the adaptability to work independently, but also with a team.
  • Strong analytical aptitude, be detail oriented and accurate.
  • Must work well with users and upper management.
  • Proactively identify trends and issues utilizing a range of analytic techniques and tools to provide insightful and actionable analysis to drive enhanced sales performance and cost reductions.
  • Develop, monitor and communicate key performance indicators (KPI) throughout the organization to promote best practices and efficiency through all aspects of corporate and operational activities.
  • Must be self-directed and have excellent follow through, attention to detail, strong prioritization skills to handle the workload and expert time management skills.
  • Experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle and HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) is a plus.
  • Proven cost accounting and accounting experience is a plus.
  • Proven experience giving effective solutions and recommendations for complex business issues.
  • Requires excellent communication skills to communicate with internal/external customers
  • Ability to trouble shoot and solve problems  
  • Ability to apply best practice to internal operations
  • Ability to resolve issues under pressure
  • Ability to understand how duties relate to business needs / objectives
